Saracen Fund Managers

About Saracen Fund Managers

Saracen Fund Managers Ltd was established in 1997 in Glasgow, Scotland. The company began managing assets in March 1999 with the launch of Saracen Growth Fund, an OEIC sub-fund.

Saracen's vision is to become one of the investment world's most highly regarded independent boutiques. Characteristics of boutiques are that they are small specialist organisations, where culture is all-important and managers have their own money invested in the funds they manage, and own the business itself.

Saracen's purpose - the reason the company exists - is to provide supreme satisfaction for its stakeholders. Stakeholders, of course, include fund investors and their advisors - our customers - but also our employees/shareholders, our suppliers, the media, and indeed the community. Although Saracen is a relatively young company, its principals are amongst the more experienced in the fund management industry and have worked in a diverse range of organisations. Drawing upon this experience, Saracen is being fashioned according to the principles of the Tomorrow's Company initiative which believes that the successful companies of the future:

  • Clearly define and communicate their purpose and values;
  • Use these to develop a success model, and measure progress against that model; and
  • Value and work to build reciprocal relationships with all those who contribute to the business.
